Riverfront Fall Festival returns to downtown Cape Girardeau Oct. 24

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — The fifth annual Riverfront Fall Festival returns to downtown Cape Girardeau Oct. 24 with live music, local artisans, food vendors and children’s activities.
The free festival runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at a new, larger location: the Boardman Hutson Pavilion lot at Independence and Main streets, in front of the Missouri Wall of Fame murals on the floodwall.
Mayor Robbie Guard will open the festival with the ceremonial pardoning of a giant pumpkin. Organizers say the pumpkin’s name will be revealed at the event.
Kirby Ray of River Radio will host the main stage.
The music lineup includes:
– 11:15 a.m.: Steve Shafner and the Jumper Cables
– 12:45 p.m.: Jamie Gooch
– 2 p.m.: Mike Aguire and the Blu City All Stars
– 3:15 p.m.: Bruce Zimmerman and the Water Street Band
– 4:30 p.m.: The Ivas John Band
Southeast Missouri artisans will offer woodwork, fiber arts and other handmade items. Food vendors and a craft beer garden featuring Many Good Things Brewing and Ebb and Flow Fermentations will also be available, along with outdoor seating.
The children’s zone will feature face painting, games and Hot Wheels racing.
