PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — Drivers traveling between Paducah, Kentucky, and Metropolis, Illinois, should expect lane restrictions on the Interstate 24 bridge over the Ohio River as rehabilitation work continues.

Traffic is reduced to one lane in each direction, with a 10.5-foot vehicle width restriction and a 55 mph speed limit.

Bridge rehabilitation work is expected to continue through Oct. 13.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and use caution when traveling through the work zone.

In Obion County, Tennessee, drivers should also expect lane closures along U.S. 45E as crews conduct resurfacing work.

Paving will take place from the Weakley County line to the Kentucky state line.

Drivers are urged to reduce their speed and watch for construction crews in the area.
