Three injured, including 16-year-old, in Butler County crash

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — Three people, including a 16-year-old, were seriously injured in a crash involving a parked vehicle in a construction zone in Butler County.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred around 4:25 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 6, on Missouri Route AA, approximately 4 miles south of Fisk.

Troopers said an 18-year-old man from Brosley was driving a 2012 Chevrolet Camaro northbound when he struck a parked 2022 GMC Sierra in a construction zone.

A 16-year-old boy from Poplar Bluff, who was a passenger in the Camaro, suffered serious injuries and was flown to Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis.

The driver and another passenger, a 20-year-old man from Fairdealing, also suffered serious injuries. Both were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

According to the crash report, none of the three occupants was wearing a seat belt.

Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene.

The crash was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Troop E.
