Project Hope offers free services, community resources in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) – Project Hope will offer free services and resources to residents Friday, Oct. 9, at the Shawnee Park Center in Cape Girardeau.

The event will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 835 S. West End Blvd.

More than 60 service providers will be on hand, offering resources such as groceries, pet food, health and hygiene kits, Missouri birth certificates, haircuts, housing assistance, employment information and legal assistance.

Additional services will include health, dental and vision screenings, medical assessments, information about SNAP and Medicaid, veterans services and resources for seniors, pregnant women and parents.

Free lunch and on-site childcare will be provided.

Cape Girardeau’s city bus service runs every 30 minutes, providing a transportation option for those attending the event.
