Perry County Commission issues no-burn advisory amid dry conditions
FOX23 News at 9 p.m.
PERRY COUNTY, Mo., (KBSI) — The Perry County Commission has issued a no-burn advisory for all municipalities in the county due to extremely dry conditions and a lack of rain in the forecast.
Officials say the dry conditions increase the risk of fires spreading rapidly and becoming dangerous.
Residents are urged to avoid all outdoor burning and use extreme caution until conditions improve and the advisory is lifted.
The commission is asking residents to help protect homes, property, communities and first responders by following the advisory.
No date has been announced for when the advisory may be lifted.
