TENNESSEE (KBSI) — The Tennessee Department of Transportation will begin demolishing the bridge deck on the Hamilton Avenue bridge over Interstate 65 in Davidson County this weekend.

A full closure of I-65 will be required during demolition. Transportation officials have also added a ramp closure to the traffic plan to improve safety and traffic flow during construction.

MISSOURI — Southbound Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform pavement repairs.

The work will take place between mile markers 17.4 and 19.2, with a 10-foot width restriction in effect.

Weather permitting, construction is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 26, through Thursday, Oct. 29, from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

KENTUCKY — A Kentucky Transportation Cabinet contractor plans to close Kentucky Route 1371 in Carlisle County beginning Monday, Oct. 26, for a bridge replacement project.

The closure will be at mile point 5.02, near Larry Reddick Road, between Kentucky routes 1377 and 1935.

Weather permitting, construction is expected to take approximately three months.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should plan for delays and use caution near construction zones.
