FOX23 News at 9 p.m.

MINOR, Mo., (KBSI) — City of Minor officials are notifying residents that their tap water may appear brown following a large fire that required significant water usage Thursday.

According to the city, the amount of water used to fight the fire caused discoloration in the water system.

Officials said the water remains safe despite its brown appearance.

Residents experiencing discolored water are encouraged to let their faucets run until the water clears.

The city expects the discoloration to resolve as water continues to flow through the system.
