MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) — A Murray State University photography instructor had the opportunity to photograph some of country music’s biggest stars during the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Ed Rode, a photography instructor in the university’s Department of Journalism and Mass Communications, served as a backstage photographer for the ceremony held at the Music City Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

According to Murray State University’s Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business, Rode photographed several well-known musicians, including Taylor Swift, George Strait, Lyle Lovett, Lainey Wilson and Brad Paisley.

Rode, who has an extensive career in photography, also shares his experience and skills with students at Murray State.

“Good songs. Good people. A good night to carry a camera,” Rode said of the experience.

The university highlighted Rode’s work in a social media post featuring photographs from the event.
