One In Custody After Shooting At Omaha High School, Police Say

LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – Police are investigating a shooting Tuesday at Omaha Northwest High School.

In a post on social media, the Omaha Police Department said there was at least one victim, and the school was placed on lockdown.

One person was taken into custody around 1:10 p.m., according to police.  Officer Chris Gordon on X said the shooting appears to be an “isolated incident.”

The reunification area for parents and students is at the football stadium west of the school.  Police ask people to be patient as this is a lengthy process.

Officers will remain in the area as the investigation continues.
