1 arrested after 1 injured in shooting in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – One person faces charges after one person was injured in a shooting early in the morning on Wednesday, May 24 in Carbondale.

Jordan S. Bryson, 26, of Carbondale was arrested on Friday, May 26.

Carbondale police officers responded to the 1000 block of South Brehm Lane in response to a shooting victim at 2:35 a.m.

Officers found a victim with gunshot wounds. The victim told police that a black male acquaintance shot him/her during an argument over a transaction.

The victim was taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale for treatment.

Bryson was taken to the Jackson County Jail.
