1 dead after crash in Pemiscot County
PEMISCOT COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Chicago man died in a crash in Pemiscot County late Sunday night.
It happened at the 25.6 mile marker on Interstate 55 in Pemiscot County at 11:47 p.m. on July 21.
Alphonso Savage, 51, of Chicago, Illinois was driving a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee southbound on Interstate 55 when his vehicle struck the towed unit of a 2006 Chevrolet 4500 driven by Brashawnt Henry, 37, of Jonesboro, Arkansas, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report.
Savage was prounounced dead at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti at 1:03 a.m. on July 22.
Archie Henry, 64, of Jonesboro, Ark. who was a passenger in Alphonso Henry’s vehicle was taken to Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau with minor injuries.
