1 dead after vehicle crashes with motorcycle in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – A man died after a crash between a vehicle and motorcycle Monday afternoon in McCracken County.

McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the 1900 block of Gholson Road regarding a vehicle versus motorcycle crash.

Alexander Babb, 30, of La Center was driving a 2003 Harley Davidson motorcycle northbound on Gholson Road.

Lucy Turnbo, 19, of Paducah was driving a 2024 Mazda sedan. Turnbo was leaving a residential driveway on Gholson Road.

Babb collided with the front of Turnbo’s Mazda sedan, according to McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies.

Babb was taken to a local hospital. He was later pronounced dead.

Mercy Regional Ambulance, Concord Fire Department, McCracken County DES and Larry Stovesand Towing assisted McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies at the scene.
