1 dead in officer-involved shooting in Mayfield

MAYFIELD, Ky. (KBSI) – The Kentucky State Police are investigating a deadly officer-involved shooting that happened in Mayfield on Thursday night.

It happened around 10 p.m. on August 15 at a hotel on Housman Street.

A man sustained life-threatening injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.

The KSP’s Critical Incident Response Team was requested by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office and the Mayfield Police Department to investigate.

CIRT detectives arrived on the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
