1 dead, suspect arrested after shooting in Sikeston

SIKESTON, Mo. (KBSI) – A man has been arrested and charged with murder and several other charges after a shooting death in Sikeston over the weekend.

Dazarrion Easton, 19, of East Prairie is charged with murder 1st degree, robbery 1st degree, armed criminal action and unlawful use of weapon. All of those are felony charges.

Officers received a report of a person shot at a home in the 100 block of N. Handy on Sunday, November 13.

Officers arrived at the home and found a male with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the home.

The victim has been identified as Anthony Evans of Sikeston.

Sikeston DPS Criminal Investigations Unit along with the assistance of the SEMO Major Case Squad has actively investigated the homicide.

Easton is being held on a no bond warrant through Scott County.

Sikeston DPS officers thank the officers from the SEMO Major Case Squad who assisted in the investigation.
