1 in custody after juvenile wounded by gunshot in Murray

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – A person of interest is in police custody after a juvenile was wounded by a gunshot.

The Murray Police Department responded to the area of Sycamore Street near Lynnwood Court in reference to a call of shots fired at 5:22 a.m. on Sunday, August 6.

Officers found a juvenile with an apparent gunshot wound. That person was taken to an emergency room for treatment.

One person of interest is in custody.

The investigation is ongoing.

The Murray Police Department was assisted on scene by the Murray State University Police Department, the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, and the Murray Calloway County Ambulance Service.
