1 in custody after stabbing, fire on Greyhound bus on I-57

FRANKLIN COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – One person is injured and another arrested after a fire on a Greyhound bus in Franklin County Wednesday morning

Illinois State Police troopers are investigating a fire that happened on a bus in the southbound lanes of Interstate 57 near milepost 62 around 4:14 a.m.

ISP Troop 10 responded to the vehicle fire involving a Greyhound bus.

A passenger was taken into custody for setting a seat on fire and stabbing another passenger.

One person was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The fire was put out.

The remaining passengers were taken from the scene to a safe location.
