1 injured in crash on I-24 in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – One person was injured in a crash involving a semi truck and another vehicle on Wednesday, July 31 in McCracken County.

McCracken County sheriff’s deputies responded to the 15.5 mile marker of Interstate 24 eastbound around 12:08 p.m.

Deputies say Owen MaCleod, 63, of Hubbard, Ohio was driving a 2021 Kenworth semi truck in the right lane of eastbound on I-24.

Jessica Minter, 40, of Benton, Ky. was driving a 2019 GMC Acadia in the right-hand lane of eastbound I-24.

MaCleod had just got underway traveling the interstate after stopping on the shoulder to check the load he was hauling.

Minter came upon MaCleod and was unable to avoid a crash. She was taken to a local hospital for non-incapacitating injuries.

MaCleod had no injuries reported.

The McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Reidland-Farley Fire Department, Mercy Regional EMS, and Stovesand’s Towing.
