1 injured in Poplar Bluff shooting

POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KBSI) – One person was injured in a shooting in Poplar Bluff on Thursday.

Officers of the Poplar Bluff Police Department responded to Main and Pershing streets regarding a shooting around 4:39 p.m. on July 11.

Arriving officers were told by onlookers that a person who had sustained a gunshot wound had been transported to the hospital.

Upon initial investigation at the scene, two people were detained.

Detectives processed the scene.

The gunshot victim, who was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center, was transferred to a trauma-one facility with non-life-threatening injuries.

This incident is still under investigation by the Poplar Bluff Police Department.
