1 injured in rollover crash in rural Murphysboro

MURPHYSBORO, Ill. (KBSI) – One person was injured in a crash Thursday morning in rural Murphysboro.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report around 8:17 a.m. of a single vehicle crash at the intersection of US Highway 51 and Airport Road in rural Murphysboro.
The caller said a concrete truck was off the road and had overturned.
A white 2007 International was northbound on US Highway 51, turning left (west) onto Airport Road when it rolled onto its right side and into the ditch on the northwest corner of the intersection.
The truck was a Beeleman Ready Mix of Carbondale.
As the truck driver turned left onto Airport Road the truck rolled onto its right side and into the ditch on the northwest corner of the intersection.
The driver, Patrick Rendleman, was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The Jackson County Ambulance Service, DeSoto Police Department, and Carbondale Township Fire Department assisted on the call.
The road was closed for about two hours.
