1 killed, 2 injured in Saline County crash

SALINE COUNTY, Ill., (KBSI) — A single-vehicle crash on IL-34 in Saline County early Friday left one person dead and two others injured, Illinois State Police said.

The crash occurred around 1:58 a.m. near Harco Road. One person died at the scene, while two others were airlifted to a hospital.

The incident caused lane closures until 7:20 a.m. A secondary crash occurred when a vehicle struck an ISP squad car while crews responded to the initial crash. No further details on the secondary collision were available.

State Police said more information would be released as it becomes available.
