1 killed in crash with train in Butler County

BUTLER COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – A Broseley man was killed in a crash with a train on Sunday, Feb. 20 in Butler County.

It happened at 5:16 p.m. on Highway B three miles east of Poplar Bluff.

Mark Arnold, 52, of Broseley was driving a 2000 Ford Expedition when he failed to yield to warning signals and traveled into the path of a train, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Arnold was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Jim Akers.

This is the sixth fatality for Troop E for 2022.
