GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – One person has minor injuries after a rollover crash involving two vehicles on Tuesday.
Deputies with the Graves County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the intersection of State Route 80 East and the Dick Castleman Bypass for a two-vehicle injury collision around 8 a.m. on April 16.
Deputies say 83-year-old Jerry Coltharp of Wingo was driving east on State Route 80 East in a 2017 Nissan Rogue. Coltharp began making a left turn onto the Dick Castleman Bypass and turned into the path of 23-year-old Stephanie Hayden of Mayfield, causing a collision, according to deputies.
Coltharp’s vehicle rolled over and came to rest on its roof.
Hayden’s vehicle remained upright.
Coltharp was able to get out of the vehicle on his own.
He was alert and conscious when deputies arrived.
Coltharp was taken from the scene to a local hospital by Mayfield-Graves County EMS for minor injuries.
Hayden refused transport after being evaluated by EMS at the scene.
Graves County Deputy Sheriff Zac Smith investigated this collision. The Mayfield-Graves County Rescue Squad, Mayfield Police Department, Mayfield Fire Department and Mayfield-Graves County EMS assisted at the scene.
