13 SVHS students excel at MSHSAA State Music Festival

COLUMBIA, Mo., (KBSI) — Thirteen students from St. Vincent De Paul High School qualified to perform at the MSHSAA State Music Festival, hosted by the University of Missouri-Columbia on May 1.

A percussion octet earned a silver rating. Members included Emma Mahnken, Anna Welker, Abby Kirn, Reese Zoellner, Jace Hennemann, Tyler Hennemann, Noah Hager and Tristin Anders.

James Unterreiner received a gold rating for his clarinet solo, accompanied by Terry Edwards.

The SVHS Brass Quartet, comprising Brigid Sauer, Bo Burgin, Xavier LaRose and Taketo Nakayama, earned a bronze rating.
