16-point antlered doe harvested in MO
MONROE COUNTY, Mo. (KBSI) – An antlered doe was harvested in north central Missouri.
Samuel Perotti shot the 16-point doe on his property in Monroe County.
Perotti said he had captured pictures of the deer on his game camera, and was surprised to find out it was actually a doe.
According to deeranddeerhunting.com, if the deer has branched antlers like a buck or hardened antlers, chances are very slim that it is truly an antlered doe. In most cases, whitetails with outward signs of female reproductive organs and hardened antlers fall into one of several class of hermaphrodism.
