$170K worth of methamphetamine seized in after months-long investigation

JACKSON COUNTY, Tenn. (KBSI) – Law enforcement seized 34 pounds of methamphetamine with a street value of $170,000 on April 1 in Weakley County.
The seizure came after a several months-long narcotics investigation by the Weakley County Sheriff’s Office, 27th Judicial Drug Task Force, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, Drug Enforcement Administration and Jackson Police Department Major Crimes Vice Unit.
The investigation started in Weakley County and led to other counties in Tennessee.
Several indictments will be sought on top of the seizure, according to the Weakley County Sheriff’s Department.
The methamphetamine seized was in route to Weakley and Obion counties when it was intercepted.
