2 airlifted for injuries in Graves County crash

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people were air-lifted to hospitals after a crash in Graves County on July 4.
Graves County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to an injury crash at the intersection of West Slaughter Road and Old Dukedom Road on July 4 at 12:30 a.m.
Deputies say Chloe Rodgers, 19, of Mayfield was driving westbound on West Slaughter Road when she traveled through the stop sign at intersection of Old Dukedom Road and left the road into a creek bed and tree line.
Niles Phillips, 18, Lindsey Bencini, 18, and Travis Runyon, 19, were passengers in the vehicle.
Bencini and Rodgers were flown out via AirMethods due to injuries sustained during the crashed.
Phillips and Runyon suffered minor injuries. Deputies say they refused EMS treatment.
Deputy Austin Caldwell conducted the collision investigation. He was assisted by Sgt. Garret Clark.
Mayfield Fire Department and Mayfield/Graves County EMS also assisted.
