2 arrested after deadly shooting in Cape Girardeau

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KBSI) – Police arrested two men suspected in a deadly shooting in Cape Girardeau.

Delijah Z. James, 18, and Isaiah Koen Triplett, 18, both from Cape Girardeau were arrested and are held at the Cape Girardeau Municipal Jail. They are each held on $1 million cash only bond.

The shooting happened near Giboney and Hickory sSreet around 12:35 p.m. on Sept. 23. When officers arrived, they found David Flores, 39, of Cape Girardeau had been shot. Flores died at the scene despite attempted lifesaving measures, according to the Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad.

The Cape Girardeau/Bollinger County Major Case Squad, who will now be formally disbanding but still actively investigating this crime, thanked the Sikeston Department of Public Safety for assistance in the apprehension of Delijah James.
