2 arrested in methamphetamine trafficking investigation

PADUCAH, Ky., (KBSI) — A joint investigation by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, Graves County Sheriff’s Office and Paducah Police Department has resulted in the arrest of two individuals on methamphetamine trafficking charges.

Mysti Bonnell, 46, of Paducah, and Dillion Watwood, 32, of Wickliffe, were taken into custody on Thursday.

According to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office, detectives arranged a controlled purchase from Bonnell, which led them to Watwood, who was allegedly supplying her with methamphetamine.

Watwood was found with approximately 73 grams of methamphetamine and currency believed to be proceeds from illegal drug sales.

Bonnell faces charges including trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Watwood, who was on probation for a prior methamphetamine trafficking conviction, faces charges including trafficking in methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.
