2 arrested on firearm, drug charges after traffic stop
WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) — Two convicted felons were arrested and charged with multiple offenses after a traffic stop in Williamson County.
Deputies stopped a vehicle with expired registration near the intersection of Greenbriar Road and Illinois Route 13 on June 6. Inside, they found two firearms, including a reported stolen rifle, and drug paraphernalia.
Justus J. Poole, the driver, and Shawn M. Shreves, the passenger, were taken into custody. Both men are prohibited from possessing firearms due to their felony convictions.
Poole and Shreves were charged with multiple counts, including possession of a stolen firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
They were transported to the Williamson County Jail.
