2 die after crash in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people died after a crash Monday afternoon in Paducah.

Paducah police say Susan A. Lepisto, 82, of Gilbertsville was driving a 2005 Toyota passenger car around 1:52 p.m. on July 29.

She was turning east onto Jack Paxton Drive when police say she turned into the path of a tow truck driven by Robert W. Grant, 42, of Paducah.

Lepisto and her passenger, 83-year-old Carl Lepisto, were taken by ambulance to Mercy Health Hospital where they both died from their injuries.

Grant was not injured in the crash.

The Paducah Police Collision Reconstruction Team continues the investigation into the crash.

Paducah police were assisted on scene by the Paducah Fire Department, Mercy Regional Ambulance Service and McCracken County Department of Emergency Services.
