2 face drug charges after complaint of illegal drug use

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people face drug charges after McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies received a complaint of about illegal drug use.

Donald Reaves, 60, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 1st offense (methamphetamine).

Rachel Baumann, 38, faces charges of possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled substance 1st degree 3rd or greater offense (methamphetamine) and wanton endangerment 2nd degree.

Deputies with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office were contacted by workers with McCracken County Department for Community Based Services on February 23.

They informed deputies they had received a complaint of illegal drug use at a home on Blandville Road. They said that drug use was being done in front of children.

Deputies went to the home with McCracken County DCBS workers and investigated the complaint.

Donald Reaves and Rachel Baumann both lived at the home with children.

Deputies found a small quantity of methamphetamine and items of drug paraphernalia. Some of these items were in an area accessible to the minor children, according to McCracken County Sheriff’s deputies.

After the investigation, both Reaves and Baumann were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Jail.
