2 face drug charges after traffic stop in Graves County

GRAVES COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people face drug charges after a traffic stop in Graves County Monday.

Bryan Campbell, 55, of Dresden, Tenn. faces traffic offenses and charges of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, 1st degree, 1st offense and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.

Regina Owens, 55, of Dukedom faces charges of possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine, 1st degree, 1st offense and drug paraphernalia – buy/possess.

Graves County Sheriff’s deputies Tony Cornwell and Larry Jones stopped a vehicle on KY 129 between Pilot Oak and Dukedom on Monday, February 5 around 5 p.m.

Campbell was identified as the driver. He was seen moving around in the vehicle during the stop and trying to hide items, according to the sheriff’s deputies.

Deputies searched the vehicle and found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Regina Owens was a passenger and was found to have methamphetamine in her purse, according to the sheriff’s deputies.

Campbell and Owens were arrested and taken to the Graves County RC Center where they were taken to out of county facilities by Graves County Jail staff.
