2 face drug charges after traffic stop in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people face drug charge after a traffic stop Tuesday afternoon in McCracken County.

Willis Scott, 62, of Brookport, Ill. faces charges of no registration plates, operating on a suspended license, possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Shannon N. Walker, 39, of McCracken County faces possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies stopped a vehicle for traffic infractions near the intersection of Cairo and Moody Roads on January 16 just after 2 p.m.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as 61-year-old Willis Scott and the passenger as 39-year-old Shannon Walker.

A check of Scott’s driver’s license revealed it was suspended.

During the stop, deputies conducted a search of the vehicle and found a small amount of methamphetamine, a glass smoking pipe, and a loaded syringe that contained suspected methamphetamine.

Scott and Walker were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
