2 face drug charges in separate arrests in Paducah

PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – Two people from Paducah were arrested in separate drug investigations Friday.

Sara “Denise” Fondaw, 52, of Paducah faces charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

David T. Hill, 49, of Paducah faces charges of trafficking in methamphetamine, trafficking in cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Drug detectives investigated illegal drug activity at an apartment building in Paducah at 301 South 9th Street on Friday, July 14.

Detectives executed a search warrant at an apartment on the property. During the search of the apartment detectives found marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Fondaw, who lives in the apartment, was arrested and charged in connection with the illegal drugs located during the search.

In a separate investigation, drug detectives conducted a traffic stop outside the same apartment complex at the intersection of South 9th and Clark Streets on the same day. The driver was David Hill. Detectives searched Hill’s vehicle and found approximately 56 grams of crystal methamphetamine packaged for sale, according to the sheriff’s office.

Later that same evening detectives executed a search warrant at Hill’s apartment located at 5109 Parkside Drive in Paducah. During the search detectives found and seized additional crystal methamphetamine, cocaine, a loaded handgun, false containers used to conceal illegal drugs, and assorted drug paraphernalia, according to the sheriff’s office. In total detectives seized 178 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 37 grams of cocaine during this investigation.

Fondaw and Hill were taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail. Fondaw has since been released on bond.
