2 face multiple drug charges after Calloway Co. Sheriff’s detectives receive tip
CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two men face drug charges in Calloway County.
Michael “Craig” Williams, 47, of Gilbertsville faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine 1st offense (Class C felony), trafficking Fentanyl (Class C felony), trafficking suboxone (Class D felony), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence (Class D felony).
Jordan T. Ligon, 25, of Paducah faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine 2nd offense (Class B felony), trafficking fentanyl (Class C felony), trafficking suboxone (Class D felony), possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence (Class D felony).
The Calloway County Sheriff’s Office Narcotic Division arrested Williams and Ligon following a drug investigation on Thursday morning.
Detectives received information that Williams of Gilbertsville was traveling to a location on Radio Road to sell crystal methamphetamine and several doses of counterfeit Oxycodone M30 pills that are known to contain fentanyl.
Just after midnight detectives found and stopped Williams near this area.
Ligon was identified as a passenger in the vehicle.
Detectives searched the vehicle discovered crystal methamphetamine along with numerous other drug related items.
Detectives say both people in the vehicle threw numerous illegal drugs out of the vehicle just prior to being stopped.
Detectives seized approximately 22 grams of crystal methamphetamine, nine Fentanyl pills, sone Suboxone, numerous small plastic baggies and other items related to drug trafficking.
Both Williams and Ligon have an extensive criminal history involving manufacturing or trafficking methamphetamine throughout the community.
Ligon was on supervised probation stemming from a meth trafficking case out of McCracken County.
Williams was out on bond in Lyon and Livingston counties for meth trafficking and violent criminal offenses.
The Marshall County Sheriff’s Office and their K-9 partner Conor assisted the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office.
