2 face theft of mail, tampering with physical evidence charges in Murray

MURRAY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two men face theft of mail and tampering with physical evidence in Murray.

Channer Smith, 21, of Murray, Ky. and Keonte Kendall, 19, of Clarksville, Tenn. both face charges of five counts of theft of mail matter and three counts of tampering with physical evidence.

Murray police officers responded to the northwest area of Murray in response to the theft of packages that had been delivered on Monday, April 22 around 1:45 p.m.

Officers invesigated and uncovered evidence of multiple thefts of packages from people’s porches as well as attempts to obscure evidence.

Smith and Kendall were arrested and taken to the Calloway County Jail.
