2 injured in shooting in Carbondale

CARBONDALE, Ill. (KBSI) – Two people have non-life threatening gunshot wounds after a shooting Sunday afternoon in Carbondale.

Carbondale police officers responded to the 600 block of North Robert A. Stalls Avenue at 3:53 p.m. on February 25 for a report of shots fired.

Officers found two victims who left from the area had non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.

The victims were taken to Memorial Hospital of Carbondale by ambulance.

Officers learned three suspects, described as black males in their late teens or early 20s, confronted the victims during a personal dispute and multiple shots were fired.

One victim was released from the hospital. The other person is in stable condition.

The investigation remains active and ongoing.
