2 men facing drug charges after traffic stop in McCracken County

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two men face several charges after a traffic stop on US 45 Highway near Lebanon Church Road late Tuesday night.

A McCracken County Sheriff’s deputy conducted a traffic stop on US 45 Highway near Lebanon Church Road for traffic violations at 11:28 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18.

Richard Hughes, 49, of Ledbetter and Jack Hughes, 47, of Paducah were in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, according to the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office.

Richard Hughes faces charges of speeding 13 mph over, careless driving, possession of a controlled substance-1st degree methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and warrant served.

Jack Hughes faces charges possession of controlled substance 1st degree methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Richard Hughes had an outstanding active warrant out of McCracken County Circuit County.

Both Richard Hughes and Jack Hughes were arrested and taken to the McCracken County Regional Jail.
