2 MODOT workers suffer electrical shock in Jackson

JACKSON, Mo., (KBSI) — Two people with the Missouri Department of Transportation suffered electrical shock by a utility pole Wednesday morning at the intersection of Walton Boulevard and East Jackson Boulevard, according to emergency personnel.

Jackson Fire Rescue crews responded to the scene around 9:45 a.m. and worked with Cape County Private Ambulance to transport the injured workers to St. Francis Medical Center with trauma alerts.

The workers were in the area on a job when the incident occurred. City of Jackson Power and Light crews were not involved.

A representative for The Missouri Department of Transportation said that both workers are in the hospital, and that they do not have the report yet on the incident.
