2 shot; 1 dead in Cape Girardeau Friday afternoon: Major Case Squad activated

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo., (KBSI) — Authorities are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Friday afternoon, May 9, in the area of Whitener and Louisiana streets.

According to authorities, one person died, and another was injured in the shooting.

The Major Case Squad has been activated to assist in the investigation.

Authorities say, one victim arrived at the hospital on their own, while the other was transported by ambulance.
