2 teens facing charges after picture with toy gun in school bathroom

CALLOWAY COUNTY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two 15-year-old students face charges after a picture posted on the internet showed students in the bathroom, one with what appeared to be a gun.

On March 6, it was discovered that a picture was posted to the internet depicting what appeared to be a restroom at Calloway County High School.

In the picture two students could be seen from the waist down. One had what appeared to be a gun in their waistband, according to Calloway County Sheriff’s deputies.

It was determined that the gun was a toy and the picture was from a previous day.

Two 15-year-old  juveniles were charged and taken into custody at McCracken County Juvenile Detention Center.

One juvenile, the one seen with the toy gun, faces a charge of terroristic threatening 2nd degree (Class D felony).

The second juvenile faces a charge of complicity to commit terroristic threatening (Class A misdemeanor).
