2 teens injured after ATV crash in rural Jacob, IL

JACOB, Ill. (KBSI) – Two teenagers are injured after an ATV crash in rural Jacob, Illinois on Saturday.
A 17-year-old boy from Ava, Ill. was driving a Polaris RZR ATV southbound on W. Jacob Road Saturday evening he left the road, struck a ditch and overturned into a cleared farm field, according to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
It happened around 8:54 p.m. on Saturday, April 22.
He sustained serious injuries and was airlifted by Air Evac to a St. Louis area hospital.
A 14-year-old boy passenger on the ATV was also injured. He was taken to a local hospital by the Jackson County Ambulance Service.
The investigation is ongoing by the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office.
The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office, Jackson County Ambulance Service and first responders with the Gorham Fire Department responded to the scene.
