2 Tenn. men faces charges in KY shooting death

HICKORY, Ky. (KBSI) – Two Tennessee men faces charges in connection with the shooting death of a Mayfield, Ky. man.

Kentucky State Police troopers responded to a shooting on Makenzie Circle in the Hickory community on Aug. 24. Darian Williams, 28, of Mayfield died in the shooting, according to KSP.

KSP detectives canvassed the area for leads which later developed a suspect in middle Tennessee. Detectives worked extensively with Tennessee authorities in an effort to uncover any evidence linking their suspect(s) to the deadly shooting.

On Friday, September 10, a detective with Kentucky State Police testified before a Graves County Grand Jury who returned an indictment for facilitation to murder against 32-year-old Alexander James of Nashville, Tenn. Friday afternoon, KSP investigators, along with various members of Tennessee law enforcement, located James at his home in Nashville where he was interviewed and placed under arrest. He remain in custody in Nashville, Tenn. awaiting extradition to Kentucky.

Tuesday, September 14, KSP detectives obtained a warrant for 32-year-old Enrique “Dane” Decoursey of Smyrna, Tenn. Intelligence sources indicated that Decoursey, an over-the-road truck driver, was currently in eastern Maryland. Kentucky State Police contacted law enforcement in Maryland who later spotted Decoursey’s truck near Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Decoursey was arrested and charged with murder. He is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky.
