2 wanted in Michigan arrested in Mt. Vernon, IL

MT. VERNON, Ill. (KBSI) – Authorities arrested two men in Mt. Vernon on sexual assault warrants out of Michigan.

Deputies with Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and officers with Mt. Vernon Police Department assisted the US Marshal Fugitive Task Force to find two people who had out of state warrants.

They found Blake Christie, 24, at a home on Hemlock Court in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday, April 2.

They also located Ethan Christie, 22, at another home on Hemlock Ct in Mt. Vernon on Tuesday.

Blake and Ethan were taken to the Jefferson County Justice Center where they both face sexual assault warrants from Michigan.

They remained behind bars awaiting extradition back to Michigan.
