2nd person arrested, 3rd suspect sought in four-wheeler theft in Williamson County

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, Ill. (KBSI) – A second suspect in a four-wheeler burglary in Williamson County was arrested and a third identified.
Sam Garten was arrested in connection with a burglary that happened on June 19 on Brushy Creek Road in Thompsonville.

The West Frankfort Police Department assisted the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office in arresting Garten.
Investigators recovered a “significant amount” of the stolen property and two of the three suspects are in custody.
Dylan M. Russell was arrested and taken to the Williamson County Jail. The Marion Police Department found and provided courtesy transportation to the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office.
On June 19, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a burglary on Brushy Creek Road in Thompsonville.
The owner reported that a red, 2022 Suzuki Kingquad four-wheeler, a green Yamaha 350 four-wheeler, a 2018 Carriage enclosed trailer, Stihl Chainsaw, tools, elk antlers, hunting equipment and other items had been stolen.
Williamson County investigators identified two of the suspects and recovered a significant amount of stolen property withint hours of starting the investigation.
