3 arrested after drugs found during traffic stop

MCCRACKEN COUNTY, Ky., (KBSI)- On Saturday, April 13, a deputy with the McCracken County Sheriff’s Office was working a highway safety detail when he conducted a traffic stop on Clarks River Road.
The driver of the vehicle was 34-year-old, Anthony Riley, and two passengers were in the vehicle: Melissa Sims 31 years of age, and Zachary Brierly, 27 years of age.
All three occupants of the vehicle were from the area of Cynthiana Ky.
During the investigation, McCracken County Sheriff’s K9 Vegas alerted to the odor of illegal narcotics in the vehicle.
Marijuana and suspected Methamphetamine were located.
It was also determined that Brierly had a warrant for his arrest.
Brierly and Sims were lodged in the McCracken Regional Jail.
Anthony Riley has been charged with the following:
Speeding 17 mph over the speed limit, operating of suspended or revoked operator’s license and possession of marijuana.
Melissa Sims has been charged with the following, possession of controlled substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offence (Methamphetamine)
prescription container, substance not in proper container 1st offence and drug paraphernalia.
Zachary Brierly has also been charged with the following probation violation.
