3 face drug charges after late night traffic stop in West Frankfort

WEST FRANKFORT, Ill. (KBSI) – A late night traffic stop resulted in the arrest of three people accused after sheriff’s deputies say methamphetamine and associated smoking paraphernalia were found.

During the stop, Franklin County Sheriff’s Office K9 Vader did a free are sniff around the outside of the vehicle. That sniff rendered a positive identification for narcotics in the vehicle.

Deputies searched the vehicle and the occupants and found methamphetamine and associated smoking paraphernalia, according to the Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon. One of the people in the vehicle also had a firearm, according to Sheriff Bacon.

Hunter D. Karns-Glen, 19, of West Frankfort faces a charge of possession of a firearm with FOID card.

Montana S. Moore, 25, of West Frankfort faces a charges of unlawful possession of methamphetamine and unlawfull possession of drug paraphernalia.

Misty D. Shalabi, 42, of West Frankfort faces a charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

Additional charges are pending, according to Franklin County Sheriff Kyle Bacon.

All three were taken to the Franklin County Jail.
