New names unveiled for 3 hospitals in southern Illinois

MARION, Ill. (KBSI) – Three hospitals in southern Illinois now have new names.

Leaders from Deaconess Illinois unveiled the new names on Tuesday.

Heartland Regional Medical Center in Marion, Illinois will now be known as Deaconess Illinois Medical Center.

The location in Anna formerly known as Union County Hospital is now known as Deaconess Illinois Union County.

In Mt. Vernon, Crossroads Community Hospital is now known as Deaconess Illinois Crossroads.

“While the name of our building has changed, our core values and mission remain the same. We are, and always will be, devoted to providing the highest quality care to every patient who walks through our doors,” according to a post on the Heartland Regional Medical Center Facebook page.
