4 arrested after stolen mopeds found in Graves County

WATER VALLEY, Ky. (KBSI) – Four men face charges after several moped thefts.

Jalon Johnson faces charges of receiving stolen property over $1000 and theft by deception $500.

Grabiel Vejar, Daniel Crump and Stevie Harpole each face a charge of receiving stolen property over $1000.

On August 14 about 12:20 p.m., Graves County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the Water Valley area of Graves County for the report of a stolen moped that was found.

When deputies arrived at an address on Kingston Road, Deputy Larry Jones found a Honda moped that was reported stolen out of Paducah.

Deputies learned of an additional stolen moped that was stored at an address on State Route 1748 in the Pryorsburg community.

Deputies along with troopers with the Kentucky State Police arrived at a home on State Route 1748 E and located another Trailmaster moped also reported stolen out of Paducah.

Throughout the investigation, as many as four suspects were developed.

Deputies and troopers went to numerous locations and began interviewing suspects regarding the thefts.

The values of the mopeds were in excess of $5,000. Both moped owners were contacted and were able to recover their property.

The Graves County Sheriff’s Office, Kentucky State Police and the Paducah Police Department are still investigating this case.

More arrests are pending.
