Deputies responded to the I-24 bridge and were notified that the vehicle, a Ford F150, was traveling east in the westbound lanes of I-24, against traffic. A McCracken County deputy stopped Westbound traffic in an effort to avoid a collision with the fleeing vehicle. While doing so, the fleeing vehicle almost struck the sheriff’s office vehicle.

Law enforcement from different agencies tried to stop the vehicle with tire deflation devices but were unsuccessful.
